Where Friends Meet

The Kensington Club has progressed on many levels over the years, but has never lost its reason for being. It has proven itself to be a strong part of the community; providing not only social entertainment but also sponsorship and support to community organizations on many levels.
The Kensington Club was established in 1955 and was named the Horsemen’s Club. The building was a humble building with all labour and materials donated; a place where men would share their stories over a beer or two or……
As a nonprofit organization the Kensington Club has given to many foundations, charities and community events; such as the Danny Hughes Memorial, Snow Mobile Association, Figure Skating Association, Lion’s Club, Recreation Association, Red Cross and Christmas Daddies; just to name a few.
Working with other community organizations the Kensington Club plays a vital role in hosting the Bedford Exchange and has for the past 41 years.
The Bedford Exchange

The Bedford Exchange is the longest run ning hockey exchange in Canada.
The Annual Volleyball Tournament is an other community event hosted by the Club and is held in conjunction with the Harvest Festival. Truckloads of sand fill the Club’s parking lot and side street. Three volleyball courts are set up. Com petitive and novice games are played throughout the weekend with teams com peting from Prince Edward Island and the Maritimes.
