Established in 1961, the Kensington & Area Chamber of Commerce is one of the fastest growing chambers on Prince Edward Island. We are experiencing significant growth; a 50 % increase with 44 new members joining since January 2008. We are committed to successfully building an impressive record of achievement in a variety of areas as we develop and grow the chamber.

The Kensington & Area Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization and acts independently. We partner with other organizations; the Town of Kensington Municipality, the Kensington & Area Tourist Association and other key groups. Together we are making a difference in the growth of our community as people move here to raise their families, start businesses and experience the quality of life the Town of Kensington and area have to offer.

The Town of Kensington grew up around the intersection of five roads taking people through Kensington to and from Charlottetown, Kelvin Grove, Travelers Rest, Summerside, Malpeque, Irishtown, New London, and Cavendish. Because of this location the Kensington & Area Chamber of Commerce serves 32 surrounding communities.

The Kensington & Area Chamber of Commerce has experienced many positive changes over the past several years. However, due to the significant growth in membership we find ourselves at a cross road and recognize the need to expand our member services. The Board of Directors held a strategic planning session in March to examine the needs of our membership and to formulate an essential improvement plan.

We are encouraging our Members to take part in activities and make their views heard in regards to improving business opportunities in our town and surrounding area.
